I have tried to verify my phone with the SMS but I don’t receive any on my australian or french number. I have tried to keep/remove the first zero in the form. (0x xx xx xx xx).

Have you setup your Amazon IAM properly?

Alternatively, there is a new plugin called Messente that was recently added. You could use Messente as an alternative to Amazon for sending SMS.

With AWS, you also need to make sure that your account is not on sandbox mode:
